November Software to develop 3D social games for web and mobile platforms

Ex-EA and LucasArts staff form new studio

Former EA Tiburon staff and members of the team behind LucasArts’ Star Wars: The Force Unleashed series have announced the formation of a new San Francisco-based studio called November Software.

The new studio will focus on the development of streaming 3D content and social games for mobile platforms. It’s first title has already been announced. Inemari: A Familiar World will be a social games title with 3D content for the web and iOS.

Limited applications for the closed beta of the game, which will launch in the summer, have been made available.

"We are gamers and we want to take what we know and love about next-gen games: the deep immersion, high-fidelity atmosphere, multi-layered skill based mechanics, and bring them into the casual social gaming world," said November Software co-founder Szymon Swistun.

"At first we felt a bit out of our element in terms of the social gaming paradigms, but after spending countless nights refining our design we now feel we are on the verge of creating a new style of game-play that is really collaborative and fun."
