Facebook hits 750 million monthly users on mobile

There are more than 751 million monthly average users accessing Facebook on mobile devices, it has been announced.

Speaking at the Facebook Mobile DevCon in London, the company’s head of developer advocacy James Pearce said that as of last night, the social network had peaked at 1.1 billion monthly users in total, one seventh of the world’s population.

Pearce also stated that just over 20 per cent of the average person’s time on mobile today is spent on Facebook, ahead of other apps and services such as Instagram, Youtube, gmail and Twitter.

He added that the social network also averaged 263 million monthy referals from the website to apps and games on the iOS App Store and Google Play.

It was also claimed that 81 per cent of the top 100 iOS apps and 70 per cent of the top 100 Google Play apps were integrated with Facebook.
