Submissions to join close December 6th

Facebook opens doors on preferred dev programme

Facebook is inviting developers to apply for its Preferred Developer Consultant Programme.

The initiative, which essentially is a bond of trust between the social network and content developers, has about 90 companies involved. Developers get deeper and early access to tools and data, in return for driving content on Facebook and its newest services.

Facebook said submissions to join the group is open until December 6th, and has urged companies to be as detailed as possible with their applications.

“Please also note that our strict selection criteria keeps our acceptance rate quite low, so potential applicants without a strong existing portfolio of demonstrated excellence in social app and tool development should wait to apply until their track record is more established.”
