Start-up signs partnership with Nexon to publish its first game

Former BioWare devs open new studio QC Games

A new studio has been formed by several ex-BioWare staffers and MMO experts.

QC Games is based in Austin, Texas and headed up by Dallas Dickinson, who served as director of production on Star Wars: The Old Republic at BioWare Austin. Throughout the past 20 years, he has also served as senior producer on Planetside, Shadow Realms and Star Wars: Galaxies.

He is joined by fellow BioWare alumni Gabe Amatangelo, Brian Matt, Jason Rotan, Pat Ditterline, Stefan Lednicky, Marcus Hays and Pedro Toledo.

Together the team is working on triple-A online action games for consoles and PC, the first of which will be published and marketed by Nexon as part of a new partnership.

“Having the freedom to bring our vision to life is paramount to me and my team, and working with Nexon America provides us creative control as well as deep support from a partner who understands the online market better than anyone else,” said Dickinson, president and CEO of QC Games.

“Our goal as a studio is to create the highest quality games possible, and I feel this partnership, along with the first-class team who has joined me so far at QC Games, will make that a reality.”
