Former EA exec Neil Young to open Evolve: Brighton

Neil Young, a former exec at EA, will deliver the opening keynote at this year’s Evolve: Brighton.

Evolve is a a special track of the Develop: Brighton conference, organised by Tandem Events, and focuses on new trends, business models and markets in games development.

Young will be giving a talk entitled ‘Peak Mobile: Are We There Yet?’, in which he will discuss the potential for future mobile games and why it’s important for devs to harness the full power of smart devices in their titles.

Currently CEO of N3twork, Young is perhaps best known as a former general manager at EA and founder of Ngmoco.

Evolve takes place on Tuesday, July 14th, kicking off the three-day Develop: Brighton conference. Additional confirmed speakers include representatives of Nickelodeon, Google’s Niantic Labs, The Game Creators and more. Develop editor James Batchelor will also host a panel entitled ‘What Next Big Thing Is Around The Corner?’
