Couple found in Bay Area apartment on Monday

Former Harmonix programmer Roger Hanna Morash and researcher wife Valerie Morash pass away

Reports are coming in that Roger Hanna Morash, an indie developer with former work as a programmer at Harmonix, and his wife Valerie Morash have unfortunately passed away.
They were 35 and 32 respectively.

The reports come from Berkleyside, a Bay Area website that also reported that the couple’s bodies were found in their apartment on Monday, along with those of their deceased cats. The deaths remain under investigation.

For the last few years, Roger Hanna Morash and several others had been working on Shard, an independent platformer, Shard, in addition to this, he’d also recently been working as the code lead on Harmonix’s remake of Amplitude. He’d also worked on Mass Effect, Dance Central and Rock Band 3.

His wife, Valerie Morash, was a researcher at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute in San Francisco, focusing on issues with haptic perception and issues relating to visual impairment.
