Marc Marot forms partnership with game audio specialist

Former Island Music boss joins Nimrod Productions

Nimrod Productions, which has worked on soundtracks for up
coming titles including Far Cry 2 and Battlefield Heroes, has announced a new partnership with Marc Marot, the former head of Island Music.

Marot, was previously music supervisor on movies such as Notting Hill and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and currently runs his ow company, Terra Firma management, which looks after the likes of Paul Oakenfold.

He will be working with Nimrod clients to create ‘groundbreaking’ soundtrack solutions, from licensed efforts to finding composers to devise original scores.

“I’ve always been interested in breaking new ground, and my alliance with Nimrod will take me much deeper into the Games industry,” stated Marot.

“In the past my clients have scored many projects for the games industry in a rather ad hoc fashion, however the combination of Nimrod and myself will mean we’ll be able to undertake bigger and broader projects, offering the games industry a truly 360 degree full service."

Rich Aitken, head of production at Nimrod, added: "It is important for game audio to grow and improve its creative standards in line with its technical achievements – and with a talented mind such as Marc’s on board it enables Nimrod to offer an unparalleled and unique service focusing on great quality music for the best games around."
