Slapdash Games aimed squarely at the casual market

Former MumboJumbo veterans form new studio

GameDaily reports that four veteran members of the development team at MumboJumbo, creators of the popular title Luxor, have left the company and set up Slapdash Games, a new casual games studio.

Scott Hansen, Matthew Molloy, Darren Walker and Chad Woyewodzic, who have a combined industry experience of over 45 years, have set up the studio with initial finance from game developer Method Solutions.

The studio, which is currently working on unannounced titles, is “committed to creating compelling casual cross-platform games for all ages and demographics.”

"The team at Slapdash Games is unmatched in terms of creating fun, addicting games that are embraced by the mass market," commented Marcus Hopkins, acting CEO of Slapdash and head of Method Solutions.

"I applaud their decision to go out on their own and I look forward to helping them become a formidable force in the casual gaming space."
