Newgrounds is offering developers a simple-format editor for its Flash-based games portal.
A simplified, basic edition of Games Factory 2 is on offer for Newgrounds developers, and like Unity its creators offer the option to pay for a more advanced version.
Tool creator Clickteam said the free edition of Games Factory 2 only exports games to Newgrounds.com in SWF format, and the tech has no personal API integration.
“Once you get basics down, you may be interested in upgrading to the standard edition of The Games Factory 2 or go one step further with Multimedia Fusion 2,” the group suggested.
