Fresh new details have emerged for the rumoured microtransactions set to feature in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Yesterday it was suggested that the multiplayer mode for GTA V could feature in-game currency that can be purchased with real money, after leaked files spotted by a Reddit user referenced the use of cash cards.
Eurogamer has now reported that people with early access to the mode have confirmed the use of microtransactions.
It has been claimed players can purchase cash cards from as little as £1.99 to a red shark card worth $100,000, and up to £13.49 for a great white shark card worth $1.25m.
Some items and properties are said to be somewhat cheaper online than in the game’s single-player, while others such as weapon and car mods will be more expensive. Players will also be limited to a single property.
Rockstar has yet to officially comment on the speculation.
