Computing giant helping finance cloud based services

Further Intel investment for Gaikai

Cloud gaming service Gaikai has received even further investment from Intel Capital as part of the chipmaker’s $24 million injection into seven cloud-based companies.

Meanwhile, San Francisco based firm Swrve, which provides game personalisation and testing for social games, also received funding.

The exact breakdown of the $24million has not been disclosed.

“These investments in best-of-breed software vendors play an integral part in Intel’s software strategy by fuelling the creation of compelling and unique user experiences across devices,” said Intel Capital president Arvind Sodhani.

This news follows Gaikai’s previous ‘Series C’ funding round in July, which raised $30million.
