Procedural texturing system to feature in new studio's first title

Futuremark picks ProFX

Futuremark Games Studio has licenced Allegorithmic’s ProFX procedural texturing middleware.

The new developer, which was spun out from 3DMark benchmark company Futuremark, will be using the technology on its first title, said to be an original IP.

"Allegorithmic has given us a new technology that increases our capabilities to create fantastic new worlds,” said Dr. Jukka Mäkinen, the executive producer of Futuremark Games Studio.

"The combination of their people and technology enables our team to work more efficiently while we invent the kind of game play that people really want."

Dr. Sebastien Deguy, Allegorithmic’s president and founder, added: “Futuremark has a very impressive reputation and we look forward to working with them to implement our technologies in their new games studio. We recognize the magnitude of their company’s technology choices and are very pleased they selected ProFX as their middleware and tool solution for developing rich games content.”
