Speakers confirmed for second annual AI event

Game AI Conference returns to Paris

For the second year running, Paris is to play host city to the Game AI Conference, which features speakers from Guerrilla Games, Black Rock and Crytek.

Organised by AiGameDev, the two day event takes place on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th June at the CNAM centre, and is free to attend for those who register. The Game AI Conference is to focus on design and technology that improves the quality of non-player characters in commercial games, and the role of AI in the complete development process.

Speakers and sessions confirmed for the conference include Remco Straatman, Lead AI Programmer at Guerrilla Games, who will discuss the AI bots from Killzone 2, and Black Rock’s senior programmer Eduardo Jimenez addressing the design of the NPC AI in Pure.

Other topics include polygon soups, behaviour tree paradigms, multi-threading and procedural narrative.
