DLC Quest rises to top with 'quiet introspection on the state of the games industry'

Game mocking DLC most popular on Desura

DLC Quest, an indie platformer mocking the games industry’s use of downloadable content, has risen to the top of the charts on digital downlad service Desura.

Last year, the game recieved Official Xbox Magazine’s Xbox Live Indie Game of the Year award, and has made its way to the PC as part of Indie Royale’s St. Patrick’s Day bundle.

The game, from Going Loud Studios, is a traditional save the princess platformer, but players must, "find coins to buy DLC to enable animation, sound and even pausing."

This satirical look at the industry is more than just a gag though, and is beating out established titles like Amnesia, and Mount & Blade: Warband.
