Regional trade association to represent nine studios at Cologne event

Gamecity:Hamburg out in force at Gamescom

Germany’s largest regional games network, Gamecity:Hamburg, has revealed it will send more developers than ever to this year’s Gamescom event in Cologne.

Gamecity:Hamburg, which represents around 1,800 industry professionals, said it would be representing nine separate development studios at the event in August.

Anima Entertainment, Atlus Interactive, Exit Games, Fishlabs, InnoGames, Intenium, Olaya Games, Taylor Wessing and Threaks will each be present at Gamecity:Hamburg’s expo space.

The regional developer association says the highlight of its Gamescom expo will be its traditional Fish Sandwich Reception, to be held on Friday August 19th at noon.

The group will also be promoting the estimated 500 job vacancies in the region it represents.

“Hamburg is one of the prime locations of the gaming industry in Europe,” said the group’s managing director Achim Quinke.

“Gamescom is a great opportunity for us to convey a sense of the breadth of Hamburg’s games industry and the wide range of services we offer,” he added.
