Pitch Bootcamp to be held at the end of this month.

Games London opens applications for Pitch Bootcamp and Games Finance Market

At the end of this month, Games London is holding a two-day Pitch Bootcamp, a series of training exercises designed to help 30 studio leaders become "market ready" ahead of Games London’s Games Finance Market in April, 2017.

The Pitch Bootcamp is described as "intensive", with training and business mentoring covering games financing, investor engagement and pitching skills that should help them make an impact at business events, including the Games Finance Market.

This is being funded by Creative Skillset’s Skills Investment Fund and will take place at BAFTA’s Piccadilly building on the 26th & 27th of January. Companies looking to apply should note the application deadline of January 9th.

The 2017 Games Finance Market is the UK’s only event that connects games creators with funders from around the world, and this is also open for applications from developers, start-ups, investors and publishers. The event has doubled in size for 2017, after 2016’s event allegedly created new business worth £10m. This will run from the 4th to the 6th of April 2017.

"London is home to more than 500 games companies, making our city a real melting pot of cutting edge talent, creativity and innovation," said London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan in a press release.

"The Games Finance Market gives global investors a first-hand glimpse of what our games industry can offer, connecting talent with the investment it needs to flourish. I’m delighted to support training initiatives like Games London’s Pitch Bootcamp, which is helping companies take their businesses to the next level, creating jobs and boosting London’s reputation as a world leader for technology."

Those looking to apply to the Games Finance Market, the deadline is 3 February 2017 and there’s an online application form to fill out here.
