Organisation seeks to increase interaction within game audio community

GANG launches new social network

The Game Audio Network Guild has launched its own social network for game audio professionals.

Designed to facilitate interaction between members of the interactive audio sector, the website features audio portfolios, personal blogs, live chat, content sharing, dynamic calendars and forums. It was developed by GANG in conjunction with social network consultancy firm 5 Rockets.

“Having worked with Steve and 5 Rockets on a number of previous projects, we knew that we had to collaborate to bring G.A.N.G. to the next level” says Paul Lipson, president of the Game Audio Network Guild and VP of business development at Pyramind, Inc.

“Our Guild is a global organization, with members in almost thirty countries. It was time to bring our online community to the next level and integrate next generation web technologies to support our membership and sponsorship base.”

5 Rockets president Stephen Years added: “The Game Audio Network Guild is uniquely positioned to take advantage of social media tools to promote and enhance its already strong brand. We worked closely with the Guild’s leadership to understand how their membership could best take advantage of social media tools to promote themselves globally while simultaneously cultivating a tighter knit community.”
