GDC China speakers announced as registration opens

Registration has opened for August’s GDC China.

Interested delegates can apply online for the event, which runs from August 27th to 29th at the Shanghai International Convention Centre.

The event includes a conference, tools expo, and recruitment fair.

Organisers CMP and IDG have also confirmed a number of the conference’s speakers. David Perry will be headlining the Online Game Development and Business track, while Paul Steed, Co-Founder & CCO of Exigent, will address ‘Why Cultural Training is Crucial to Outsourcing’ on the Outsourcing and Next Generation Games track.

Petri Talala, VP of mobile business at Futuremark Corp leads the mobile gamestrack with ‘Mobile 3D Graphics in 3G World and Beyond.’ Elsewhere Bob Zhu, HR director – Asia at EA, will present ‘Do Basic Things Right: Setting up New Business Units and Growing HR Departments in China’ in the Career and Recruitment track.

"GDC China will present attendees with the knowledge, skills and networking opportunities to help them get a head start in the burgeoning Chinese games industry," said Meggan Scavio, senior conference manager, GDC China.
