Studio VP Mark Rein hoping Samaritan-like visuals will be available on browsers

GDC: Epic wants next-gen graphics on Flash

Epic Games wants next-gen graphics like those seen in the impressive Unreal Engine 3 tech demo Samaritan to be able to run in Flash, says studio VP Mark Rein.

As reported by Kotaku, Rein showcased demos of Unreal Tournament III, Dungeon Defenders and Epic Citadel running in Adobe Flash on full screen.

“Our long-term goal is to be able to do Samaritan in Flash,” said Rein.

Epic’s new dev platform, Unreal Engine 4, is currently be demoed to selected developers behind closed doors at GDC.
