Think Services plans further integration with Gamescom; new online push

GDC Europe booked for August

This year’s GDC Europe event is set to open for three days from Monday 16 August, event organisers have announced.

As expected, the Cologne-based event will once again overlap with the nearby Gamescom show. However this year both events will merge further, with a new GDC networking space available to ticket holders at Gamescom.

Think Services also has confirmed that the strong European trade event will dedicate its second day on the topic of online, social, and browser-based games.

The move is a further suggestion that GDC Europe and Gamescom continue to position themselves more aggressively against the nearby Games Convention Online event. Gamescom will also this year include a dedicated space for online and browser games.

Develop’s event listing will appear shortly.
