Halo studio to explore a decade of storytelling

GDC Online scores Bungie narrative keynote

Bungie will be the star act at this year’s GDC Online event in Austin Texas, with the Halo makers providing a keynote lecture on storytelling in the seminal shooter series.

The developer is sending out Joseph Staten to the event, which runs from October 5th to 8th, to deliver a speech entitled ’10 Years Of Halo Storytelling… And Beyond’.

Bugie’s lecture opens the rebranded Game Narrative Summit – a track of speaker sessions dedicated to exploring issues in the game narrative development process.

The summit also includes a Harmonix lecture on how music games can tell stories in unconventional ways.

GDC Online also adds to its growing list of speakers comics writer Antony Johnston and 2K Games’ Greg Kasavin.
