GDC: The Board Game!

They said Iwata was the headline announcement for GDC 25. They said it was Suzuki. They said it was Bleszinski. They said it was Iwatani.

That was before today.

Develop has made a board game. One about GDC.

The esteemed table-top game comes stapled in Develop Issue 114 – which we’ll be distributing for free next week at the Moscone Convention Center.

But you can also download it here:

Either a copy in A3,
Or one for A4 printers.

“Develop’s GDC: The Game encapsulates better than anything else the true conflict between ambition and love, and paper.”
– David Cage, Quantic Dream

“Low-level APIs of this physicality will optimise the selection of shadow projection axis to maximize the texel coverage of a target AABB. Doesn’t come with a dice though.”
– John Carmack, Id Software

“That’s mine, is what that is.”
– Tim Langdell, GDC: The Game Games

See you at GDC next week, where Develop will be out in force interviewing people and covering news.
