Glu Mobile inks Nvidia deal ‘for Android tablets’

Mobile games specialists Glu Mobile is to finalise a partnership with graphics chip giant Nvidia that will see it develop games for Android-based tablet devices.

The developer’s shares jumped as high as 18 per cent on the news.

Glu will be working with Nvidia’s Tegra processors, which had been specifically designed for high-performance graphics on mobile devices at relatively low processor costs.

Tegra was initially thought to be the tech provider for Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS handheld device.
