Indie of the month contest offers developers launch support, optimisation, and more

Gree declares indie love with new competition

A new competition for independent game developers offers access to Gree’s expertise and extensive resources to help release their titles on mobile.

Social and mobile game maker Gree has been sailing on a wave of acquisitions, but the company said it still has an immense respect for the indie studios "responsible for pushing the limits of creativity and driving innovation".

"I feel we have a responsibility to give them the tools and knowledge they need to work their magic,” said Gree SVP of developer relations Eros Resmini.

The Indie of the Month contest will offer the winning studio a four-to-six week release support campaign.

The game will launch on Gree’s mobile platform and will also receive the backing of public relations resources, game review, optimisation and integration support

Games will be judged based on criteria including creativity, innovation and user experience.

Interested developers can visit the Gree Loves Indies website, or stop by the company booth at GDC online in Austin, Texas next week.
