Hothead Games, Soma Games, SpaceGum and SiuYiu sign up to mobile giant's gaming platform

GREE welcomes four new developer partners

GREE has added four new games development parters to its expanding rostrum.

Hothead Games, Soma Games, SpaceGum and SiuYiu are the latest studios to sign up for GREE’s connected gaming platform.

The studios are joining a service that they can use to enhance their games with multiplay elements like leader boards, tournaments and virtual payments.

Among the new additions, Hothead is best known for Zombie Ace, Soma has Wind Up Football, SpaceGum has just launched Battlepath 3000, while SiuYiu is known for Tiny Sheep.

“We are dedicated to supporting the independent game development community with our platform technologies,” says Eros Resmini, SVP of developer relations and marketing at GREE International.

“These partners represent a talented group of game makers that we expect will bring new experiences to our growing game community. I’m excited to offer GREE’s support in bringing their games to the market.”

GREE is in the midst of a global expansion after staggering growth at home in Japan. It began targeting international markets in 2010 – buying OpenFeint and opening new offices. It now has over 230 million players worldwide.
