We’ve just published this week’s second technology round up, which this time focuses on the 3D modelling packages leading the market today.

Since Autodesk, which now owns XSI as well as former rivals 3ds Max and Maya, has risen to dominate the 3D modelling market, its competitors have had to respond with a raise in standards that is beneficial for those across the developer community.

Detailing Autodesk’s three key technologies, the round up also turns its attention to Nevercenter’s Silo 2.1 and Luxology’s modo 302, as well as the encouraging trend for price deflation as competition heats up.
