Former 343 Industries staffers hook up with DDM founder Jeff Hilbert to create multiplayer title for PC and console

Halo 5 multiplayer devs form new studio First Strike Games

Three former Halo developers and industry veterans have opened their own outlet.

First Strike Games is formed of Kevin Franklin, the former multiplayer design director on Halo 4 and Halo 5, Brian Lemon, ex-lead multiplayer producer on Halo 5, and Doug Barnes, who fronted the engineering team for Halo 5’s eSports modes.

They are joined by industry veteran and founder of business agency DDM, Jeff Hilbert.

Between them, the group has worked on titles as diverse as Need for Speed, SOCOM, Age of Empires and Halo Wars.

The team states on its website that it is currently in discussions with publishers and investors, with the aim of creating a new multiplayer title for PC and console.

This mission is summarised in the studio’s motto: ‘We make multiplayer.’
