Swedish Space Corporation integrates project management solution

Hansoft over the moon with new licensee

You might be used to us reporting new game developers that have switched to Hansoft’s eponymous project management tool – but its latest customer is a little out of this world (sorry) – the Swedish Space Corporation.

With facilities in Stockholm, Kiruna and Vidsel, the SSC develops (amongst others) satellites, rocket payloads and space vehicle subsystems, as well as operating ‘one of the world’s busiest civilian satellite ground stations’.

The team was excited that Hansoft could handle traditional schedule-driven projects as well as agile methods like Scrum, explains Gierth Olsson, general manager of space systems at SSC: "The possibility of combining these methods in the same project has really been useful. Hansoft is very intuitive and easy to use, and we are impressed by how rapidly the team adopted the tool."

Hansoft CEO Patric Palm added: “Agile is becoming increasingly popular in larger teams. This has led to a rising demand for Hansoft, and the tool is now being used by developers in more than 20 countries around the world. The Swedish Space Corporation is in the very front edge of technology and we are excited about providing them with a powerful tool to support their development process."
