Deus Ex designer will speak on the 'luckiest people alive'

Harvey Smith to keynote Game Career Seminar

This year’s Game Career Seminar, organised by GDC planners Think Services, will see Deus Ex designer and former creative director at Midway Austin, Harvey Smith, delivering its keynote speech.

The seminar, which takes place on September 17th as part of the Austin Game Developers Conference, offers a chance for graduates and game developer wannabees to meet with various developers’ HR staff and throw CVs into any palm even slightly open.

Smith’s speech, entitled ‘Luckiest People Alive’, will address the ‘imminent explosion of change, creativity, and possibility within the world of interactive entertainment’.

Austin GDC 2009 will run from September 15th to 17th at the Austin Convention Centre in Austin, Texas. For more information on the Game Career Seminar, visit the official website.
