Modern Warfare 3 to include colour-adjusting mode

Help for ‘1 million’ colour-blind Call Of Duty fans

One of the most high-profile game series of the past ten years is to introduce a new mode for those affected by Colour Vision Deficiency.

Sledgehammer Games, the co-developers of Modern Warfare 3, said a new feature added to the FPS would help those with a decreased ability to perceive differences between certain colours.

Michael Condrey, co-founder of the studio, estimated that “nearly a million gamers are playing Call of Duty every day with this [colour-blindness] issue”.

“I am happy to report that we are working on a Colour Blind Assist option for Modern Warfare 3,” he added.

Colour Blindness affects 7 to 10 per cent of the western population, according to independent estimates.

Modern Warfare 3, co-developed by Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward, is due for release in November.
