Studio relocates to new offices, launches mobile division

HoN developer S2 doubles staff

S2, the studio behind hit free-to-play game Heroes of Newerth, has doubled its staff as it moves to new offices in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The studio has shipped only three games, but the success of HoN has made it possible for the studio to set its sights on expansion.

"Our Heroes of Newerth player base grew by about 50 percent in 2012 and we have high expectations with the launch of HoN 3.0 in 2013," said Marc DeForest, CEO of S2 Games.

"We’re constantly seeking ways to improve our games and the services we offer to the player base, and that’s why we’re investing in a top-notch workforce and a great space to do the work."

The company also added a mobile division, iGames, on January 2nd.

A fully owned subsidiary of S2, iGames was launched to expand the studio’s "online multiplayer vision" by bridging "the gap between casual players and experienced gamers."

Those interested in job opportunities at iGames can check the newly launched website.
