Nova Scotia office already houses 25 staff

Hothead Games opens new Halifax studio

Canadian mobile developer Hothead Games has opened a new studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The office already employs 25 staff and will be operate as a separate development house with its own programming, design and art teams. The studio is currently working on Hothead’s FPS series Kill Shot.

The new studio brings the company’s total employee headcount to 130 staff.

“Setting up Hothead in Halifax was an easy decision, as the growth in tech, the great schools, and the history of the local games sector in that area matched well with our own objectives for growth,” said Hothead director of development Vlad Ceraldi.

“By working with Nova Scotia’s business development agency, the NSBI, we were able to expand quickly and build a creative environment that we feel can help take us to the next level.”
