Bomberman developer to be absorbed into Konami Digital Entertainment

Hudson Soft to close its doors

Hudson Soft will cease to exist on March 1st after Konami made the decision to absorb the studio into other areas of its business.

The decision was made during a meeting on January 12th, from which Andriasang reports board members agreed for the studio to be merged into Konami Digital Entertainment.

The publisher is thought to be looking to centralise its social and mobile development resources into one location through the division.

Hudson Soft was bought out by Konami on April 1st last year, and is famous for making titles such as Bomberman, Mario Party and Wonder Boy.

Konami Music Entertainment meanwhile will absorb Hudson’s music business.
