Dark Energy Digitalâ??s upcoming title is set to be available on download only

Hydrophobia to be Xbox Liveâ??exclusive

British studio Dark Energy Digital has confirmed that it’s upcoming title Hydrophobia will be available exclusively on Xbox Live.

The title has been built with DED’s ‘InfinateWorlds’ game development platform, which allows triple-A games to take up only a small fraction of their usual file size.

DED say this will “push back the boundaries for downloadable games.”

Hydrophobia will harness DED’s HydroEngine, which the studio state will model flowing water effects in real-time, interacting with in-game objects authentically.

“Hydrophobia is set to be a trailblaizing title which expands the spectrum of what is possible on Xbox Live Arcade. HydroEngine delivers a gameplay experience unlike anything you have ever seen before,” Microsoft Game Studios producer Mark Coates said.
