IGA clinches Football Superstars deal

IGA, one of the leading global providers of in-game advertising, has announced that it has struck a deal with developer CyberSports to provide the in-game ad technology for its upcoming PC MMO Football Superstars.

The game puts gamers I control of one player as they guide his career from the early days of joining an academy all the way through to Premiership stardom, and all the associated superstar complications that ensue.

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with CyberSports,” IGA Worldwide CEO Justin Townsend stated. “Football Superstars features a genuinely unique approach to the MMO genre, as well as providing relevant and innovative opportunities for advertisers, from dynamically-updateable stadium ads and tournament sponsorships to fully interactive stores and even avatar clothing. The possibilities are almost endless, and attractive to a wide range of brands.”

In other news, IGA has also announced that it has received additional investment from international investment firm Translink Capital Presidio STX, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation and ITOCHU Corporation. This new deal sees the total value of series B funding raised to nearly $30 million.

“We are very pleased to have Translink Capital among our investors,” IGA CEO Justin Townsend added. “This investment is an exceptional endorsement for the market and it will allow IGA to further expand its global in-game advertising footprint to the most technologically-savvy populations of gaming enthusiasts in the world.”
