Former GarageGames man Jay Moore and MUD mastermind Dr. Richard Bartle to keynote

Indie MMO Conference speakers announced

Last Straw Productions has revealed the keynote speakers for the second Indie MMO Game Developers Conference, which takes place in Minneapolis from March 29th to 30th.

The keynote for the 29th will be given by ‘indie evangelist’ Jay Moore. Moore was previously director of business development and marketing director for GarageGames, whose Torque Game Engine powers many independently-produced massively multiplayer games.

Dr. Richard Bartle, creator of the first MUD in 1978 and current professor of game design at the University of Essex, will also be present at the event to give the keynote for the final day.

“IMGDC is honored to have such renowned industry professionals as keynote speakers,” said Jonathon Stevens, IMGDC founder and director.

“IMGDC 2.0 is going to be an incredible conference building on the passion and excitement we saw last year. Last year, we got you excited, this year you’ll leave IMGDC with a passion and love for an industry that desperately needs it.”
