2K Boston and Valve also score high

Infinity Ward reigns over AIAS awards

Infinity Ward picked up the AIAS award for Game of the Year at a ceremony in Vegas last night.

The studio’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare also won three other gongs at the event, including Console Game of the Year and Action Game of the Year.

Also scoring four awards were 2K Boston and 2K Australia’s Bioshock, which picked up the Outstanding Achievement in Story Development, and Valve’s The Orange Box which received the Outstanding Character Performance award.

In addition, Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime was inducted into the AIAS hall of fame, while Ken Kutaragi was given a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work as president of Sony Computer Entertainment and his work on the PlayStation.
