Former Zalando CRM Christian Pern to head up marketing and PR campaigns

InnoGames brings in new CMO

InnoGames has hired a new chief marketing officer to replace Volker Dressel, who left the developer in June.

Former customer relations manager at retailer Zalando, Christian Pern, will take up the position of CMO. He will be responsible for the company’s future marketing and PR campaigns.

“I look forward to joining such a dynamic company in the game industry," said Pern.

"As with most online game providers, marketing makes a significant contribution to the development of the organisation. Especially during this time of fierce competition from other publishers, it is important to develop clear targets and expand the marketing efforts. I certainly hope to enable InnoGames´ success with my experience.”

Based in Hamburg, InnoGames has developed titles such as Forge of Empires and Grepolis. Across its games portfolio, the company has accrued more than 110 million registered players.
