Hamburg-based online game developer InnoGames has appointed Anne Grovu as its new head of Human Resources.
Grovu is a newcomer to the games industry, having served previously as Head of Human Resources at AIRBUS CIMPA where she was responsible for international training management. She is also a lecturer for Intercultural Business Communication at the University of Hamburg.
Her new post it a big job; Forge of Empires and Tribal Wars developer InnoGames employs about 300 workers from 22 different countries and it’s only going to get bigger, as the company plans to hire an additional hundred this year.
“I am very excited about joining InnoGamesand look forward to the young and international atmosphere,” Grovu said.
“InnoGames is one of the most attractive employers in Germany and is looking for 100 highly qualified new colleagues from around the world this year. I look forward to being part of this healthy growth process and actively shaping the human resources department."
The games industry is very cosmopolitan and so presents an interesting challenge for human resources personnel – one that Grovu looks well suited to take on.
Her recent background in international training management began at university. Studying in Hamburg, Sidney, and Essen, Grovu earned an international MBA and a degree in communication science, focusing on international HR management and intercultural communication.
