First Thurstday events to bring together Dundee's creative industries.

Interactive Tayside to host regular industry coffee mornings

Dundee’s Interactive Tayside organisation is to host a series of coffee mornings designed to bring together those working across the city’s games industry with other creative professionals.

The new events hope to attract attendees from digital marketing, design, video games, multimedia, artistic development and social media, and hope to provide networking opportunities and a chance to share ideas and foster innovation.

Donna Fordyce, project manager at Interactive Tayside said: “The idea behind First Thurstday is pretty simple really. This really is the first non-exclusive event of its kind in Tayside, where anyone from freelance illustrators to the director of a games studio can exchange ideas and draw from the experience of like-minded individuals.”

The first coffee morning will take place on Thursday, March 5th, from 8.30am to 10.30am. The event, which is free to attend, will be held at the Dundee Contemporary Arts centre, and will return for the first Thursday of every month.
