Italian game conference â??a successâ??

The second annual Italian Videogame Developers Conference has been hailed by its organisers as a success for the industry.

“Videogames have finally an important and prestigious place where we can talk about it,” said conference chair Marco Accordi Rickards.

The event covered a range of subjects, with speaker sessions from the likes of Ready at Dawn Studios founder Andrea Pessino, Ninja Theory’s Alessandro Taini.

Eidos life president Ian Livingstone also attended the event, discussing the challenges of keeping Lara Croft an appealing character in a time of progressing technology and evolving tastes.
