Peter Lorenz hired as award-winning studio's management expands

Jagex appoints new business development boss

UK-based indie Jagex Games Studio has hired Peter Lorenz to the new post of head of business development.

Lorenz will be set the task of exploring and securing new business oppourtunities for the firm, a task to whick he has become familiarised after holding several similar positions over the course of his career for the likes of tech firms Oberon Media and WildTangent.

"We are delighted to welcome Peter to the Jagex team,” said Jagex’s chief financial officer Riaan Hodgson.

“Peter brings a wealth of industry experience to the role and joins the company at an extremely exciting time. We are always looking to employ highly skilled and experienced individuals who will help move Jagex forward and Peter truly fits the bill.”

Lorenz was also keen to describe his pleasure with the move.

“I’m very excited to join Jagex, a company that has pioneered browser-based MMO gaming since 2001. All Jagex games have strong social gaming components, compatibility with emerging platforms and unparalleled game experiences,” he said.

"This provides exceptional growth potential that I’m looking forward to developing as Head of Business Development.”
