Development team to continue working on existing IP as well as new titles

Koei Tecmo merges with Atelier dev Gust

Koei Tecmo is set to merge with Atelier developer Gust in October.

Gust had already been acquired by Koei Tecmo in December 2011, continuing to operate under its own name. Though it will still keep its branding, the firm will now cease to exist as a separate company.

According to the official announcement, as translated by DualShockers, the move to merge the two companies was made to enable “more efficient sharing of technology and development of games”.

The Gust development team will continue to make games and will in fact be expanded, and will continue to work on existing IP as well as new titles.
