Scheme offers free exhibitors pass available for selected new startup developers

Level Up returns to Game Connection

Connection Events has announced that the Level Up program will return to this year’s Game Connection Lyon for a second time.

The scheme allows five young studios the chance to exhibit their wares to a huge selection of industry buyers at the Lyon event, which takes place from November 5th to the 7th, as well as have their own private meeting room for quieter presentations.

To be eligible, companies must be less than two years old, be independent and must not have been a previous Game Connection attendee. Entrants will be judged by the Game Connection Advisory Board based on the sole criterion of ‘innovation’, looking for studios willing to take risks and think outside of the box.

Last year 48 developers applied for the scheme, representing 17 countries. Vedran Klanac, CEO of Ocean Media, one of the studios chosen last year, said: “The Level Up program is one of the best things that ever happened to us as a company. It totally boosted our business. Six months later, projects are being offered to us on a weekly basis."

Applications close on August 30th, and winners will be announced in September. For more information and to apply, visit the Game Connection website.
