Yet industry sympathiser MP Foster remains cautiously optimistic

Lib Dems: Thereâ??s no money for tax breaks

Lib Dem MP and UK games industry sympathiser Don Foster told Develop that he was very pleased with the tax break announcements today.

“I’ve spoken to Vince Cable and can confirm that we will not seek to stop the breaks from going ahead,” he said.

“I believe the creative industries will play as big a part as the finacial industries in the future of this country, and we must do what we can to protect them.”

Foster also had a word of warning for the tax break announcements.

“As far as we can see, there is no money to allow it to happen,” he added.
