GTAIV and MGS4 also vie for multiple gongs

LittleBigPlanet scoops ten AIAS award nominations

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has revealed the nominees for its forthcoming Interactive Achievment Awards ceremony at the DICE Summit on February 19th.

Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Left 4 Dead are all up for multiple awards, while LittleBigPlanet has secured the most potential accolades with 10 nominations, including Family Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction and Overall Game of the Year.

‘This was an exciting year for games,” said Joseph Olin, president, AIAS. "The depth of talent and creativity in this industry continues to amaze me and we are honoured to highlight some of the most impressive games of the year at the Interactive Achievement Awards. The 2009 nominees indeed reflect a stronghold of talent embodying the best and brightest in this field."

In other news, the DICE Summit has confirmed Valve’s Gabe Newell as its keynote speaker.
