Internal development team to contribute 10-15 per cent of publisherâ??s output

Majesco reveals plan for Majesco Studios

In a quarterly earnings call, Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton has shed some light on the plan for the publisher’s new internal studio – including that the eventual aim is for the studio to contribute 10 to 15 per cent of the publisher’s output.

Gamasutra reports that Sutton called the studio “an attractive, low risk opportunity, with potential for significant value” and mentioned that the company intends to transfer much of its development into the studio instead of relying on third parties.

The studio is planned to release one to three titles in its first year, following a pattern of six to nine months development time for DS titles and 12 to 14 for the Wii.
