Marko Hein joins Bigpoint

The move continues the changing shape of management at the Hamburg-based outfit.

Hein is now responsible managing Bigpoint’s product strategy and will also oversee the firm’s community operations. He will head up game design, production, and art operations.

“Game development is the company’s heart and soul,” said Bigpoint CEO Heiko Hubertz. “That’s why it was imperative that we find an experienced, creative and well-connected candidate for the position of CGO.”

Hein’s career started at Nintendo of Europe in 1994, climbing the company ladder to head of European developer business. He joined the likes of Koch Media and THQ upon leaving Nintendo.
