Marmalade Technologies have released the latest version of its flagship app development tool.

Marmalade 7.4 introduces support for iOS 8 (due to be released at Apple’s upcoming event), Xcode 6 and Windows Phone 8.1. Roku developers are also now able to monetise their apps with in-app purchases.

Meanwhile, web developers can now bring Marmalade Web apps to the Firefox OS marketplace and utilise Marmalade’s updated Facebook SDKs.

A number of fixes and updates have also been introduced, the full details of which can be found here

"The release of Marmalade 7.4 is yet another milestone met for Marmalade and the fast-growing Marmalade Community, which has more than doubled over the past year," said Marmalade CEO Harvey Elliott.

"By making continuous improvements to our core C++ tool, we give game developers of all shapes and sizes the ability to publish native performance games on the app stores that matter, without expensive reworking and consuming valuable development time."
