Chris Wynn leaves to 'return to the USA' as studio confirms development is unaffected

Mass Effect: Andromeda senior development director departs Bioware

The next Mass Effect game has lost one of its top developers.

Chris Wynn had worked on the sci-fi sequel as senior development director since joining Bioware in 2013.

He formerly worked on Gears of War as a producer at Microsoft and Epic Games.

Wynn initially announced his departure in a tweet, saying little more than he would be leaving to return to the US.

Bioware later told Game Informer: “Chris was a great member of the team. We want to thank him for his contributions and we wish him the best in his new adventures.”

The studio also confirmed that “development of Mass Effect: Andromeda continues to move full speed ahead at BioWare Montreal, Edmonton and Austin”.

Andromeda is set for release in Q4 of this year.
